How Terminal handles your data. Last updated 20 August 2026.
Terminal shows live air traffic - it doesn't need to know much about you. The app has no accounts and never asks for your name, email, or location. The only personal information we hold is the email address you give us when you join the waitlist. We use analytics to understand how the website and app are used, and we don't sell or share your data with anyone for advertising.
When you join the waitlist, we store your email address and preferred airport in a secure database. You'll receive a one-off confirmation email straight away.
From time to time we'll send product updates - these will always include an unsubscribe link. We don't sell, share, or use your data for anything else.
If you're invited to test the app, we'll use your waitlist email to send the TestFlight invitation.
We use Google Analytics to understand how people find and use this website. No personal information from the waitlist is sent to Google Analytics.
Our website and its waitlist database are hosted by Vercel, which processes standard server logs (such as IP addresses) to deliver the site.
The app has no sign-in and collects no personal details. It doesn't request access to your device's location, contacts, photos, or anything else that needs a permission prompt.
To show live air traffic, the app requests aircraft positions and flight data from our servers. Like any internet request, these include your device's IP address, which is used only to deliver the data and protect the service - we don't use it to identify or profile you.
We use Mixpanel to understand how the app is used and whether people keep coming back. This includes:
This tells us things like which airports are popular and which features are used, so we can decide what to build next. It's never sold, and never used for advertising.
During the beta, the app is distributed through Apple's TestFlight. If you take part, Apple shares crash logs, usage statistics, and any feedback you choose to send with us, as described in Apple's TestFlight terms. Beta builds may collect more diagnostic detail than the released app, and we use it only to find and fix problems.
Only the service providers that run Terminal, and only what they need to do their job:
We never sell your data, and we don't share it with advertisers or data brokers.
We keep waitlist data until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it, and analytics data only as long as it's useful for understanding how Terminal is used.
You can request a copy or deletion of your data at any time by emailing contact@terminal.flights. If you'd like your app analytics deleted too, mention roughly when you installed the app - the identifier is anonymous, so we can't always match it to you, but we'll delete what we can find.
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and revise the date at the top. If a change meaningfully affects waitlist members, we'll mention it in the next product update email.
